Oahu Dining Tips

Hawaiian culture and food are inseparable, and there is an wide range of worldwide cuisines for visitors, especially in Honolulu. If you’re new to Oahu, you may want to check free local visitor guides such as This Week or Oahu Gold for local restaurants. You may find 2 for 1 coupons which can save you a lot of money. If you don’t mind walking a few extra blocks, you can park for free at the Honolulu Zoo in the evening.

Most restaurants offer validated parking though. A reasonable tip at most Hawaii restaurants is about 15%. If you plan to eat out a lot in Hawaii, I recommend that you purchase an Entertainment book. It’s full of great dining deals, but make sure you get it before all the coupons expire.

You don’t have to settle on a couple restaurants, please check with the concierge desk to see where locals go to eat. There are some great Thai, Mexican, Italian restaurants in town and in Waikiki.

Dining on Oahu will provide a memorable part of your Hawaii family vacation, honeymoon or wedding. You will soon discover why Hawaii has been voted the #1 Hawaii destination for many years.
